JASON has been around a long time, since 1959!
Our brand started when a group of independent thinkers set out to disrupt a quickly changing bath & body industry. Disenchanted by big companies and big chemicals, this group harnessed their free-spirited California mindset, leading them back to simple, safe, and gentler ingredients.

First Impressions
I picked up this tube of JASON POWERSMILE from my local health food store a good couple of months ago. I wasn’t looking for a whitening toothpaste, actually I was looking for JASON Sea Fresh since that is my regular toothpaste. They didn’t have my usual, so I got Powersmile instead.
It came in the typical recyclable cardboard box that most toothpaste comes in.
The first time I used it, boy was I in for a surprise! It was hot! It’s not named powerful peppermint for no reason! I was surprised. I was thinking ‘Oh, great, I get to burn my mouth every time I brush my teeth.”
Thankfully, it only took a few toothbrushings to get used to the extreme peppermint taste. I now quite enjoy the strong peppermint taste, my mouth feels clean and refreshed after each brushing.
I have been using this toothpaste for a couple of months and still have about a month’s worth of toothpaste left, so it lasts a pretty long time. Although, it should be noted that I am the only one using the toothpaste. My kids use a berry-flavored natural toothpaste and my husband still uses traditional toothpaste.

My Opinion
I really like this toothpaste, I have come to enjoy the strong peppermint flavor. It leaves my teeth feeling super clean and my mouth fresh.
I am not sure if it actually whitens though, I haven’t noticed a big difference. I am a big coffee drinker, so that might have something to do with it. Also, I don’t routinely use this flavor of toothpaste, so maybe with prolonged use it would whiten better.
Overall, I really like JASON Powersmile and would recommend you try it for sure, especially if you love peppermint!

Recap
I really like this toothpaste. I have come to enjoy the intense mint flavor that freshens my mouth twice a day. I also like how my teeth feel smoothe and clean after each use.
That being said, I will use this toothpaste as a back up to my regular toothpaste (JASON Sea Fresh) because I like the flavor of that just a hair better (it is not nearly as intense) and I am not sure that the whitening aspect of Powersmile actually works. To determine that would require a more extensive, prolonged use of this toothpaste in order to give it a fair chance.
A common complaint I have come across while reading reviews for JASON Powersmile is that some people developed cavities after they switched to this toothpaste. This toothpaste does not contain fluoride, so if you have cavity-prone teeth, try their fluoride line of toothpaste instead.
Overall, I say try JASON Powersmile if you are looking for a natural toothpaste and you love peppermint flavor a lot!
